Engine Bleed Point

Post by jokerman »

Hello,

I recently read the thread on how to properly fill the coolant system on my bus.

It says there is an engine(1.6TD) bleed point but I'm not sure where it is.

All I can see is a bolt in a hole on the side of a casting which bolts to the cylinder head. Is this bad? :(

Can anyone help?

Diesel engines coolant bleeding. Use the radiator bleed screw bolt .Remove the front grill and its on the top left hand side of the rad. Open heater control to max heat and run the engine for some time then undo screw bolt .Dont worry about that bolt in the casing just make sure there are no leaks from it or elseware
