Nightmare. power steering on my Westy making grumbling noises this morning. Pas level low. Looked underneath one of the pas pipes is leaking. Its the pressure one, the return one next to it also looks none to clever either. Does anyone know if I am going to have major problems obtaining new pipes or will it be a call to vw dealer or a worldwide search for decent secondhand ones???????. Any help appreciated

VW confirmed pipes are obsolete now. Decided I`m going to remove fuel tank and pas pipes then I`ve found a company in Rochdale who is happy to make up some new replacements for me, might as well put new on rather than second hand ones. I can also waxoyle the tank and above it while its out and check brake pipe condition and fit the handbrake cable that runs to the balance bar. A job I`ve been meaning to do for ages. Thanks for the advice though it all helps!!!!!!!!!

had exactly the same problem with mine the other week. A company called Pirtek made me two new pipes.Had to change connection into the rack to change sealing joint so it was compatible with new hose unions. I had them made out of flexi hose so easier to fit back on and will not rot again. Cost me £65 to replace complete pipes front to rear and a few hours work.
