engine

Post by billy739 »

hi,engine is from a xantia, came on the adapter plate,no history although i know its ex taxi and just over 200000 miles, wasnt sure if it was any good, but ive done 10000 miles since march and no problems yet.
not sure where my intercooler is from, was in the vehicle with the engine, not xantia, but you can use anything you can connect to.i have an rsturbo one for my next engine, and my old van has a shogun intercooler, its not fitted in the best of places, but it works!

ps i have a spare xantia td motor for £100 if any one wants one,i drove the car it was sweet.my spare but no longer needed.complets with
wires/manifolds/alternator etc,had 150000 miles on it
possible delivery which means you get to see/road test my van!

ground clearence,

Post by billy739 »

hi will check monday as i have now removed the engine and fitted a 2.1 peugeot turbo diesel which sits much nicer, the van i have just converted is a automatic, running the 1.9td peugeot engine although i fitted the 1.9 auto box not the 2.1 as this was already modifiyed for the conversion,i will fit the 2.1 box at somepoint, has a ground clearence of 16cm.
please not i just got the reading(12.30 pm)and the van is fully loaded from a day out, this includes 5 car batteries(dont ask!)1/2 tank fuel, tool kit and has a 3/4 inch parcel shelf!bear in mind she is also a full caravelle!
