Kev,
where have we got to get to for the campsite, please?
I assume that the field will have a water supply if nothing else?
Is it a nice smooth field for a tent or a rough, long grass field for parking vans?
thanks
Garyd
Gary, will send out of where wed/thurs, it is just a field ,no water, no loos no anything except grass. haven't a clue as to roughness or the length of the grass, will try to find out though
Sorry you can't make it Matt. But happy to say that I will !
I've just ripped the sadly smoky JX out of my pickup and replaced it with a rebuilt SB out of a Passat. Finished the job yesterday morning, followed by quick shake-down drive and a few hasty fixes, then a charge down the M1/A50/M6. All seems good.
Just wondering how many the new mini-Spragmans will sleep..
Syncrosport (taking a break as of summer 2024)
Volkswagen Transporter, reloaded.
Clive and I can't bring the barbecue we usually bring to events, but wondered if anyone localish has got a barbecue they could bring for the Saturday evening?
If you're on the maybe list and have not let me know if you're planning on joining us could you please say so by 2200hrs tonight as you need location and route details emailing to you
NOTE CHANGE FROM LHS TO RHS when going across the field - doh!
Ok small change of plan and more detailed instructions how to get to the camping field.
As per previous instructions cross the ford, after about 10 yards there is a gate on the RHS it has a Syncronauts banner tied to it.
Go through this gate.
Do not go on to the gate opposite the barn as the farmer has put his dogs in a portacabin and they will start barking and probably go on all weekend.
Once through the gate, keep to the edge of the field on the RHS and cross the field.
In the corner at the end of the left hand hedge is a gate, go through the gate and make a left turn down the track.
Follow the track down and at the bottom turn right into the field.
Pick your spot, pick your sheep and settle in for the evening!!!

Bring Poppy and sing her sweet lullabyes all day?
then when we get back, you can go, with the profound and certain knowledge that you've looked after the field all day, keeping the Elves and Pykkies at bay
