Because its really bliidy annoying me.
Damn cold this morning - will the Eber turn on ? Will it heck. It wont even start off the engine battery unless the engine is running.
I don't need this feature as i run it off a 110 ah leisure battery.

no, you cant, i have tried to get around this also, there is not a way without altering the eprom in the heater........ however, upgrading the wiring to a larger size and making all the runs shorter solved my problem, its all doen to voltage drop at the ebber end... propexes do the same, so no point changing to one of them either.......

Well, changing the contents of eeproms is my job (im a software engineer) - if i can get hold of whats in it then i may be in luck.
However, i doubt that will happen at all - a quick google shows no information at all (some people have asked).
Time to renew my wires and connectors then....
Bugger.
Thanks Mocki

PS. Interesting that propex do this too!

yeah, but that the voltage at the sensor in the heaters brain, whilst its trying to draw 8amps plus to fireup, not at the battery, so beefing up the wires will help........ there is no info to change the prom, we looked into it years ago, and the man at lucus couldnt even get anything...........
my mate made a shunt to fool his into seeing higher voltage, but its wasnt that successfull...........
