Do i have to take the eberspacher D1LC out to service it?

Post by ringo »

Well, having ignored my eberspacher (D1LC) for the summer, it turns out i need to give it some TLC.

Do i need to take it out to change the glow plug and glow plug strainer ?

Is it a question of just separating the case to get to it or do i have to drill through some rivets ?

Gotto get it working reliably!!!

Thanks

depends how you have it fitted, but on the whole it would be easier.......... the little black fasteners have a center pin that pulls out they are not rivits...

just un do the allen bolt and the small access panel will pull out , then , its the small nut on top of the glow plug, then undo the glow plug and remove that and then using your little finger pull out the strainer , no need to split the casing [/code]
