solex 34

Post by busvanman »

I have a 84 t25 van which was originally powered by a dg engine, this had numerous faults and was swapped for a DF code 1.9 engine.

This runs however it is fitted with a 34 pict solex carb, fine so far?

there is a diaphragm missing from the carb, throttle damper?
I got the carb cleaned out and checked over by a local specialist, though he could n't get hold of a diaphragm to suit.

were can i find either a complete carb for parts or replacement bits?

or am i better going for a pierburg2e3????????

If you have the old pierburg and manifold then worth a shot..

Although.. GSF etc might well have a gasket/rebuild kit that will have the required part...
You could always try vw as they do still have stock of stuff!!!!!
