Need replace me thermostat mainly because i aint got one so do i have to bleed the whole system or just open the bleed valve on top of the thermo housing any help pleeeeeeeeeeeeease

THeres no need to drain the whole system every time you need to replace a bit of cooling system--just place a bucket underneath where your working-leave coolant tank lid on & undo the bit you are replacing-ie the thermostat--undo 4 bolts on plastic housing-assumme yours is after '86--let the water come out(not much if I remember rightly)--replace 'stat & O ring--careful of that plastic bleed screw it breaks easily--filter coolant thru stocking & pour back in coolant tank(fill to brim)--start up with bleed screw open on stat(not essential if siezed--loosen bleed screw on rad-coolant should stream out with no bubbles-tighten-both screws-with engine running--job done--
