Getrting the horn

Post by nesty »

The push button bit on my horn in centre steering wheel works intermitently. Sometimes if I give it a good whack it works, but a gentle psuh doesn't.

Can the centre bit be refurbished or just easier to get a replacement one. I am assuming the contacts are bent?

Regards

Nesty

buy a new sterring wheel ought to do it make sure it is a T25 one as golf ones are sometimes sold as ones that fit but are too small. You can of course pop off the horn press button with a screw driver and have a play

Hi

I prised off the horn press and took it apart, but it occasionally works. I think the press piece knacked.

You mite find it's the wire that is connected directly to the wheel (brown) prone to corrosion! gently hold push button & wiggle the wire at the point it meets the wheel
More is less, stay pure, stay poor.
