Brake pedal to floor (occasionally)
Hi a mate of mine has been having problems with his brakes on his T25
I belive he changed the rear drums and shoes and after this his pedal goes staight to the floor but not all the time. He took it to a garage and they advised changing the master cylinder which they did and it was still the same. they changed it again and it was still the same the also say they have bled the system the normal and by pressure bleeding and it is still the same. does anyone have any ideas
, Cheers

Had this recently when I changed the front discs. Tried bleeding etc. Turned out to be the pads just needed to wear into the shape of the new disc. Other than that, it could be the handbrake adjuster sticking and not adjusting properly. This would bring the shoes back in too far and mean a lot of pedal movement to get the shoes to touch the drum again. Try pulling handbrake lever up and see if it moves an excessive amount. If it does, could be the adjusters.
Mark.

Hi
I had a slimair prob with my brake system this week. I fitted new rear shoes cylinders the whole lot. After bleeding my pedal went to the floor, but after some pumps I got some pressure. I left it a couple of mins and same things happended again pedal straight to floor pump 2-3 times & got pressure.
In the end I gave up and gave it to my local garage and they did it in 1 hour. Apprently there was a heck of lot of air in the system. They expeled it with pressure bled. Also I had fitted a new calpier that had 2 bleed nipples. Also they did say that the discs were worn and would eventully need replacing.
Though intilally I thought I knacked the master when I was bleeding.
Hope that hopes.
