Seat belt annoyance

Post by Cruz »

The little black button retainers that stop the seat belt buckle dropping down the seat belt have broken off both my cab belts. Really annoying me that I now have to contort just to get the flipping buckle when I strap myslef in.

Where can i get replacements?

Clip on one of those things that you use to seal up platic bags of food. We've got various ones at home, and some are long enough to go on a seatbelt. I think they're called twixits. Like these-

You might have to file the ridges down in the middle a little 'cos a seatbelt's a bit thicker than a plastic bag!

A safety pin in the belt where you want the buckle to hang works too.

I have two broken ones and plan to rivet them on using some of the very soft rivets I use at work. If that fails then I'll do the freezer back meth. :D
