Coolant woes

Post by tonytech »

Did 300 odd miles to Vanfest and back, without any obvious problems.
Now I did 4 miles to a mates house and notice coolant dripping from the expansion tank.

OK its dark and I cant see properly but it seems to be coming from the seam halfway up the (recently replaced) JK expansion tank.
Anyone had this?

The tank is about 3/4 full (not empty enough for the red light)
Blue ( JK) top seems OK. Level sensor a little crusty but dry.

I'll look tomorrow afternoon in the light, but may swap the old tank (badly stained brown) back in.
