what Engine

Post by 89syncrolee »

nicely getting into syncro now and loving it got some tyres an wheels sorted, after much umming and rrrrring took the plunge and got BFG"S.been round landrovers a bit and do no you get what you pay for even if is a fortune..  .
but now to my next umm and rrr...engine pulls ok and will cruise ok at 70 ish.but i really want more.
what would anyone suggest it is 1.9 petrol with camper interior, plan on using it alittle off road but only mild green lanes, spent to much recking landrovers to ruin it. .!
i plan on keeping it so will spend the money but nothing too daft..
thanks for all the previousa dvice.it is great having so much knowledge at hand...thanks lee

Its never goone be a rocket ship, but as russel says, the 2.1 is a good upgrade, even with the DG carb etc.. lots more torque.. but you wont do much about cruising speed.. although the bigger tyres will have geared up (you might want to check speedo calibration with a gps now..)
