gti steering wheel mot fail??

theres a littl play in the gti steering wheel on my bus have I missed doind something when fitting it??

was there any play in the old wheel??????
ive got a gti one on mine and no movement at all !

i think theres a little plastic sleve that presses against the top bearing you may have to add a shim or two as the gti wheel may not sit down the taper quite so much so the top bearing will be loose

I have a gti steering wheel on my van, theres a small amount of play.
Last year the MOT guy advised me of it this year it failed its MOT because of the play i did use a different MOT station thou.
Quick fix put the old wheel back on.
Now got 12 month ticket.
