bumpy ride...?

bumpy ride...?
My van has devloped a knock when i go down pot holes. it does not do it every time and it seems to be coming from the front passenger side wheel. Anyone had this before or know what it is and how it should cost to put right....cheers

Could be the steering tie-rod balljoint, they quite often knock when on bumpy roads if a bit worn. Jack up suspect wheel off ground and grab wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock position. Try to move wheel left/right as it would as if turning. You should feel any free play in the balljoint by doing this.
Could also be the shock absorber damping ring (at top) or the rubber bush at the bottom.
Theres a few bits it could be, best option to give everything a shake and wobble with wheel off ground and see if anything moves that shouldnt.
