I need to remove mine to get the backing plate off. Is there a tool that makes it easier. Or is it just the old fashioned way of breaker bar and 3 people
1. Buy a new nut which is a couple of quid (JK or VW)
2. grind through 80% of the meat on the old nut (careful not to damage the drive shaft threads)
3. Using lump hammer and chisel smack the original nut until it splits or turns.
4, Replace with shiny new nut and split pin, with a sprinkle of copper grease on the thread (for next time).
