Steering wheel sizes
Trying to get a steering wheel to fit inside of a Disklok. Our wheel measures 44.75cm and Disklok's biggest fits up to 44cm. What is the next size down in T3 steering wheels and where can I get one?
Thanks,
Lloyd
Thanks,
Lloyd

Thanks! So I could use a power steering wheel in place of mine and the disklok!wasserleaker wrote:420mm, matefunny looks off the neighbour out walking his dog, [as though nipping out with a tape measure to check your steering wheel size is in some way weird!]
I wonder if there are any steering wheel sizes between the power steering one and my 88 wheel?

Sorry for the delay. Was away getting van gassed and immobilizer installed yesterday. At least now we can cover miles cheaper and have some security.
I think the golf and polo wheels are smaller.. more like 39 cm. Our 44.75cm wheel is hard enough for wife to turn when parking etc. 42cm would probably be fine for her, but anything smaller I don't think she could handle a smaller one.
Thanks,
Lloyd

Golf 4-horn button wheel is 380mm, I've got one on my bus (cost £5 on ebay); straight replacement, no mods needed. Steering is OK provided tyres are at correct pressure although a bit heavy when doing a 3-point turn (no power steering). Main problem is small wheel obscures the dashboard warning lights so fitted a beeper to the indicator relay.

Lloyd, you're ok bidding on a genuine T25 steering wheel but DO NOT bid on a VW Polo steering wheel on fleabay, buy one far cheaper at a local(ish) scrapyard. There are Polo steering wheels being sold on Fleabay as genuine T25 & fetching £70 - £80 + postage!

A small Polo steering wheel fitted to a T25 makes the steering very heavy.
Most T25s don't have PAS that's why they have a large steering wheel.
