my high top seems to be leaking.
I think its probably around the vent where the sealant looks a bit fatigued. Any idea how easy it is to replace? anyone had a similar experience.
On a similar note I am looking at getting the van waxoyld before the winter. Are there any watchouts on this treatment? What would it cost to get done?

Good luck with leaky roof, I know nothing about them.
However, I have recently waxoyled my van. Garages want big bucks for doing this but it is an easy but filthy diy job. I bought the black stuff with the special (a bit crap) pump. I jet washed the underneath of the van the day before and put her up on chocks with cheap b+q dust sheets on the floor. The waxoyl was stood in very hot water for half an hour then wearing clothes that you are willing to throw away afterwards, set about spraying everything. It takes many days to harden off and stinks, but what a buzz knowing that its all sealed for years.
With the pump is a lance thing to do the many holes and nooks and corners in the chassis. I've got insides of doors etc. to do after vanfest.
Wear a hat, and rubber gloves get down and do it, you'll be chuffed. The only casualty were my boots which will remain rust free throught their lives

As gsmoke sayes but after washing it go round and any loose areas rub um down and try and leave as little skin exposed as possible its horrid stuff to get off!!!!!! If you have access to a compressor you can get a gun that blows the stuff on alot easyer!!!

amen to the compressor, if you are carfull you can actually get it on relitively mess free!
any that you get on paint work get off as quickly as possible suing thinners or petrol be careful

Hi there Stokey Moonraker, I just recently bot a autohomes hightop. The first heavy rain the water poured in thru the vent on the roof. My cousin who is a coach builder told me to go get some good quality white sealant the out door stuff. I removed the old stuff best I could and went round the vent with the new stuff. Use spit and your finger to get a smooth edge. Dont put finger in mouth that has sealant on it tastes fowl. THis has worked a treat van seems water tight hope this helps
