speedo swap

Post by airhead »

Is anyone interested in swapping their kph speedo for my mph speedo? It needs to be the 1600 type speedo and not the 500 one. (it will say either 1600 or 500 on the bottom of the face of the speedo below where it says kph). Im in ireland so I can post my speedo over to the UK and you can return yours to me.

Also am I right in saying that the speedo in a syncro is different to that in a 2wd van?

Yes syncro speedos are unique to syncros; Simon Baxter did an article on T25 speedos which you can find on the brickyard.

Damn, I just read the article on the brickyard. Looks like I have problems. The kph speedo for the syncro is 1000 and the mph is 1600. Now I know thats essentially the ratio between kph and mph but I dont know now if even then its a straight swap. Ill PM Simon Baxter.

I dont really want to pay for one. I dont want one that badly. Its just that Im sure there is someone in the UK with a KPH speedo in their van, and seeing as you guys are on MPH over there and were on KPH here and I have an MPH speedo, I thought a swap might be a good idea. You see what Im getting at? Everyones a winner with this swap.

How much are you looking for, out of curiousity? Actually if Im going to pay for anything it would be the instrument cluster with a rev counter in it. Have you got any of those?

What do you mean clock on right? Its where the time clock would usually be? I dont want the whole instrument panel, just the speedo out of one.
