eberspacher heating problems

Post by Dave W »

Have just purchased my first westy an atlantic 1.6td but having problems with eberspacher. Can anyone please help me. It works with engine running, although doesnt appear very powerful, but wont work with engine turned off, is this a common problem that can be easily fixed or do I need to take to a specialist. Any help would be appreciated.

is it wired up to the leisure battery ?

if so then you may need a new battery or take it off and recharge it

As the Onion said.

Heaters are designed to cut out if the supply Voltage is Low.
They take quite a large current So should be wired in with thick cable and situated within a meter or two of the battery.
