Newquay to Norwich on one tank!

Just completed a 1,350 mile round trip of the south coast and back to my home near Norwich - Norfolk.
Completed all 1,350 miles on only three tanks of diesel....!!!
50 litres per fill up, total of 34 gals of diesel used.

1,350 miles divided by 34 gals = 39.7mpg.

Our final leg home was Newquay to just east of Norwich, a total od 425 miles, did the whole journey on a single tank of fuel cruising at 65 mph (just fast enough to stay out the way of the lorries and caravans :wink:

Long live the mechanical pump TDI engine !!!
