Fridge pipe is quite hot - advice please

Post by irishkeet »

Hi

I have had problems with the fridge not chilling on gas (fine on leccy) took it out cleaned all pipes, stood upside down for 2 days and put it back in today.
It lights fine (dont know if it getting cold yet) but the left metal flue pipe is very hot (right is nice and cool) is this normal or should I be worrying?

Its actually too hot to keep your hand on it for more that 5/10 secs

Any help/advice much appreciated

thanks

Left and right flue pipes? what type of fridge you got?

I would be very surprised if you could keep your hand on the exhaust pipe, after all there is a flame just at the base of it, with nothing better to do than heat the pipe up.

Sounds like your fridge is jiggered on gas. I had the same problem with one of my fridges, no matter how often I turned it upside down etc, it would not work on gas.
If you never have a route planned ...how can you ever be lost?
