T25 AUTOHOMES KOMET QUESTIONS

Post by FLINTS »

Hi Folks,
I purchased a 1990 T25 Autohomes Komet at the weekend & have a few questions.
1) I am looking at buying a bike rack (Fiamma) but the Komet comes with a rear ladder. Does anyone know if the bike rack fits?
2) Also looking for a sun awning, again possibly a Fiamma, does anyone know what the best width should be + I would also like a version that does not involve drilling the fibreglass roof.
3) The previous owner said it came with a factory Cobra alarm, however I am unable to find the alarm, or get it to work, even after changing the battery in the key fob.

Thanks in advance for any help
Lee

Hi Lee and welcome to the club :D

re the sun awning, we've got a Fiamma Caravanstore, 2.55 mtr is the biggest width-wise you can get on a T25. They do require a retaining rail to be mounted on the hi-top though .. which will require drilling and screwing or pop rivetting, I used a run of white silicone on the back of the rail though so when screwed back it sealed the rail to prevent leaks.

here's what we got :- http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/erol.html#2357X0

Cheers, Ian.

We've got a Karisma which also has a rear ladder and have no problems with the Fiamma bike rack. Put it right next to the ladder, the bikes might stick out a tiny bit but not as much as your wing mirror so you'll be fine.

Enjoy it, great conversion.
