Anyone got any top tips on refurbishing the orignal steering wheel OR are there any other ones that fit? Need to stick to same diameter as the missus can't cope with a smaller one, we don't have power steering.

Hi PEET, crossed my mind as something to investigate after I've done the 200 more important things to do on the van, being a local lad can you recommend any? I found some 410mm mountney look wheels on web/ebay but price is hefty.PEET wrote:Or get a quote from an auto trimmer to have it recovered in the plush leather of your choice...
Chad,
p.s. have you spotted me in Crawley yet, the bus is poo brown (soon to be orange)
Skell I'll take you up on that offer, cheers mate, you can have a laugh at my pony attempt at paint prep.

chad, yep horn ring does indeed come off, its just a normal skinny transporter one, not even the slightly nicer one from a later velle.
just about to start prepping mine, only got one panel to replace rest is sound, but i've been slowed down by a vasectomy this week..
pm me or give me a bell about pick up/drop off of the steering wheel, I am able to drive again now!
