How much would it cost to replace (including both parts and fitting) the canvas roof on a Westy pop-top? Is this an easy DIY job or would this be best done by a professional? Thanks
Paul

It`s not astronomically expensive, see JK, Gunzl and GoWesty for prices of the canvas (GoWesty sells the best/most expensive)
Plenty of people have done it DIY, there have been plenty posts on how to do it. If you`re pretty handy it will be no bother I`m sure

LOTS of little screws to undo and replace (and lose) but the job looks pretty simple, if not time-consuming, and the new canopy is only about £150 from Justkampers, as yer man says.
Is your canopy actually holed? I reproof mine annually with stuff called Fabsil and its now pretty weatherproof. I bought a gallon of it from a sail merchant for £20 recently. I think mine is original and I'm told it's Egyptian cotton. Not sure how the replacements measure up. Might be worth trying to renovate your existing one first, unless it's in tatters?

I was asking because I've seen a decent looking Westy for sale, but its got a rip in the pop-top canvas, so was wondering how much it would cost to sort out...

£150 - £400 ish, depends on which one you buy. I would go for the top bo**ox sail-cloth one from GoWestyt in America, it`s a job you only want to do once, so buy a decent rotproof one if you plan to keep it.

Westy canvas
Hi,
Mine needs replacing too cos someone caught it in the securing catch and ripped it, The price I've been quoted to supply and fit is £400 which consists of a JK canvas... Bit more than I thought but looking at it it's quite a time consuming job...
Regards
Neil.
