Replacement Grill

Post by vic20 »

Bill seems to have a different grill to most vans - even if you ignore the fact that some of it is plywood - and it is somewhat knackered.

have not seen one for sale that has same sized lights, do they exist

I fear someone may have made this for Bill in a previous life using only stick back plastic and washing liquid bottles.

Many thanks

No problem...you would not believe how many people give up trying to do that

As for the grill well Just Kampers do one and it is rather nice ...if not rather pricey :D

Have had a look at the JK one and the spots seem much smaller than the lights - mine are about the same size.

Think it could be a home made one

Lets find the router

Hey you've been looking at my van! So have I got a South African grill?
I've been wondering where it came from and why there's no hole for a grill badge.

Joe, I've pm'd you back but it has been sat in my outbox for the last 30mins. I'll check if it has gone to "sent" again tomorrow.

Well the pm won't deliver to you so this is what I put

Hi Joe,
I don't know where it came from as it was the one that was fitted when I got the van last year. I've only ever seen one other and that was on a 1986 model too. I've always wondered about it as there is no hole for a grille badge. I wonder if it is from another make/model. Saying that it fits perfectly and we know that the van has always had 4 headlights as we have the paperwork.

It's a mystery. If I find the answer I'll pm you. Can you do the same if you find out any more please.

I guess the JK one isn't any good?
