Geometry
The main VW dealer/workshops near me useless for this what should be dead easy for them.Booked the van in last year explained i wanted camber caster & wheel alingment check ie steering geometry.Collected van & driving on the motorway back home.Rattle rattle guess what every every wheel nut was loose some had come off.Tightened nuts up & at home looked to see if there was any other problem before telephoning the main dealer to complain.Noticed radius rod nuts screw threads length one side nut only just nipped up.I complaned to them and the risk i was put at with loose wheel nuts and the bad work .I would never go again to this garage again .Toomanytoys said the camber angle really upsets them i agree .I got a read out report from a local tyre & wheel alingnment centre after a check & adjustment the camber was out on the near side & off side. They said there was a extra charge of £70.00 to undo the wishbone bolt then adjust by turning the concentric position to get it corrected.I wish you the best of luck to get this job done properly.

I had this all sorted recently, VW (commercial place) wouldnt touch it and said they farmed out such jobs to ATS Tyres (Horsham, Sussex).
I took van there and they did everything imaginable, in a workshop that looked more like a dentists surgery, it was spotless!
They had to check their computer had the necessary info for T25s first (and it did) and then hey presto!
I have to say though, my van did have new suspension/bushes/ball joints etc fitted a couple of months before, so all nuts and bolts were new. Otherwise I think they would look at the job first, before committing to it.
All up - best 80 quid Ive spent on the van.....drives like a dream.

fairwynds do you no of the caster angle adjustment.Caster is the angle at which the front wheels are set from the vertical when viewed from each side of the vehicle.I did some work on the steering parts & front springs.Due to fitting new radius arm rubber bushes i need to have this angle reset as i have changed the thread position of the nuts to the radius arm .ATS Tyres (horsham, sussex) are not to far from me if they can do every think imaginable i will take the van there.

I shouldnt have moved the inner nut toomanytoys but it was a late radius rod .I replaced the front springs on the van the radius rod required to be moved out of the way.Late rod is screwed into the track control arm not bolted like earlier.I couldnt get it to unscrew so got round it by moving inner nut .I took some measurements before i did any work but the caster angle was out anyway.Computer report sheet showing front wheel alingnment camber & caster settings out.So i really need to get them reset.
