Injector pipes can split if they are not all the same length or if they are not secured properly. Incorrect length of injector pipe can create a resonating effect along the pipe and eventually cause it to split. Can usually be detected easily by hand just by touching one pipe at a time, if one feels as if its 'pulsing' or tapping on your finger then that could be the one to go next!

vwcampervan has the answer, resonation. make sure the pipes are firmly secured to each other.
