Hi - what does the riemo 5 look like? We have the Royal traveller tunnel awning. Easy to erect with two, would be more complicated with one. I have also got it back in its bag every time I have used it. Has an inner cabin for 2.

Works on those hoops, with a tensioning bar along each side.

I wasn't completely confident abput it being still up in that awful wind and rain at Bashtie......but it did.

You will not find an easier awning than the Khyam motordome to put up and take down, can do it now in less than 10 mins all pegged as well, 8)

Like ermie571 I have a traveller tunnel and it's brilliant (although yet to use it in anger). Got it up the first time in less than 20 mins on my own so reckon the next time less than 15 mins. I got it brand new for £140 delivered.

awning

Post by bulldog »

I've just bought (invested) a "Khyam motor dome excelsior" and the first time I put it up in the garden 20 mins. Went away last weekend 15 mins up 15 mins down. The other good thing with this one is the sliding door stays inside the awning when fully opened. Not sure about taking it down in the rain but in time ill find out?

Sunncamp dayroom is really good. More like a gazebo with space and windows so you can park next to it and then drive off without pissing about with anything. It's bomb proof and to put it up its 2 poles across the roof, 4 poles into each roof pole end, clip the materially bit to the poles, peg the guys and you've got youself an awning. Cost is around £90
My van isn't leaking oil. It's just marking it's territory.
