electircal issues...

Post by j_robi »

having issues and not sure where the problem is, or what to do about it.

Today the lights/headlights were'nt working, so checked all bul connections etc, perfect...but nothing would come on.

Then moved the indicator stalk and the side lights came on/pressed the horn and the headlights flashed (!!)/one indicator puts two on constantly

Finally i held the horn ddwn for a few senconds and ALL the lights started working again!!

Added to this:
The overheating light goes off when the horn is pressed or headlights flashed

So now i am home with all lights/indicators/hazards working, but not sure why they stopped or what sorted the problem or when the lights will fail to work again!!

If you have any idea please i would be greatful

Definitely has symptoms of an earth problem...

Also worth checking the general state of the connectors behind the dash, and fusebox. Clean and shiny, not green and furry is what you need!
