Which Injector pipe ??

Post by comfybadger »

I have a cracked Injector Pipe on my non standard 1Y 1.9 non turbo and am having trouble finding a replacement.

Is there anything complicated about these things or are the differences only in the length and shape. I don't want to pay money for a pipe that won't fit but I am happy to make one fit by bodging.

My local VW dealership insist that I need to furnish them with the chassis No. from the donor vehicle.

Any help much appreciated.

Shaun

just been to have the new pipe made up, no2 injector.
£10 from RN DIESELS, UNIT 2, CABLE ST IND EST, WOLVERHAMPTON. thats saved me £30 over vw dealers. probably similar places around your way.

I found someone local to sort me out. Not as cheap as you though. When I said "non standard" I meant not standard for a T25. The engine has caused me a few problems when looking for parts as I don't know the age or the original vehicle. The best guess I've been given is that it's probably out of a Caddy.
