I just spent 4 weeks running my 1967 1200 bug on Bio Ethanol...
(purchased from Morissons)
After some serious 'up jetting' of the stock carb, I managed to get the bug running right...however MPG was down to around 17-20mpg....!!!!
(Running a 170 main jet and .80 pump jet)
Bio Ethanol is around 35% less volatile than petrol, hence you need to add 35% more to you fuel/air mixture....
Im back to petrol now because it was costing me a small fortune, although I did enjoy the sweet smelling exhaust and the very Cool Running engine temps....!!!

- Why was it costing a small fortune ?
