Can anyone help please.
I'm not getting fuel to the engine. ('85 1900 petrol)
Have replaced fuel pump and also tried to clean out the fuel filter - am getting a clear supply from the engine end of the filter now although quite a lot of dirt did come out.
(The engine did fire when a propellant was used to get it moving - Greenflag came out)
Can anyone suggest what to try next?

I don't know how safe this is but for a blocked idle jet (I think, but there's plenty of great members on here who'll know exactly, and I welcome corrections) on a carb I was told to increase revs to about 3 to 4 thousand revs and put a lint free cloth over carb mouth and hold til revs drop (don't lose cloth down into carb ). This forces fuel through and sometimes clears the blockage. No good in this case however but may help in future, Good Luck

tried to clean out the fuel filter
id replace this, they are about 75p from gsf, there should only be one near the tank, sometimes a second one is fitted along the fuel line some where, i expect cos the original one was never found.
if you blow the carb out with an air line id take the carb off and take care to remove any bits with a diphrams
when you blow air down the holes make sure you do it with the throttle open and closed
ours suffered many times from this, the same fix time and time again.
i finally realised after talking to my mate tony that the crap was possibly coming in via the oil breather tower, cleaned this out very thoroughly and never had the problem again.....
