My ears are the size of dinner plates and burn really easily!!!

Seriously though, we bought the sun canopy in an attempt to provide some shelter and stop rain getting into the van when we open the sliding door. I know, I know! It just doesn't make sense does it?! Never seen a rain canopy for sale though!

Here on the east coast of Scotland we tend to be drier than the west. Not this year though. In June we had 3 days without rain

Mind you my sister was camping in Brittany France. She said she had 16 days away and only 4 days without rain. So its Europe wide the wet weather.

I have an awning with my van, will have to test it before Mull.

Thats 11 days we have had our VW. Still got a big chessy grin on my face

I simply made my canopy using Sail material.

As it comes in all colours and is designed to be taught (sp) - tight - non sagging - you know what i mean.

That's a good idea. Have you got any photos of it in action (so to speak)? Where did you buy the sail material from (do most marine stores / chandlers(?) sell it?) and did you have to waterproof it?

Cheers :)
