Hi all
Just back from a great weekend camping, but think I may have knackered one of my carbs (solex 34-32 LHS) it will now only run with the help of some sticky tape.
Not to sure what happened was cruising along at a motorway speed then slowed down for a round-a-bout and the van backfired. After that point the van wouldn't idle, pulled over and found the carb was drawing a lot of air from the top and a small disk was sitting on the tinware. Put the disk back in the hole with the aid of some tape and the van runs like a dream.
What have I done and how do I permanently fit the disk back into the carb?
Thanks in advance
Kev
What’s the small round disk that popped out of my Carb?

Kev, I think the disk you mention is really a blanking plug from part of the choke unit on one of the carburettors,,,,,if you have managed to get it back in from where it came it will simply need lightly twwating with a ball pein hammer to secure it into possition.
Take it easy,
