Sleeping in Campers,,,,,

Post by Fritz »

Is it only me who longs for the weekend away in the van ??????? Simply for any reason other than to get some proper kip.......I love my bed but for some strange reason as I get older it seems to reject my efforts to stew in my own juice like I used to when I lived at home with Mum,,, :D

So why is it I have this obsession to go camping every night of the week when the van is parked up at home ? Perhaps this is why I make the most of any opportunity to get away from my bed,,,,,,,,,so what is it that makes me feel soooo much better in the morning ?

Is it the fresh air ? is it the feeling of freedom ? or is it the camping gaz leak that makes me sleep like a baby ?????

Regards,

Fritz,,,,,,,,,,,

Wife and I always thought we slept better in the camper over the past 30 years but thought maybe it was just imaginary. Maybe it isn't after all 8)

Have had campers for 35 years and always sleep well in them. Physiological. cus when we get into our campers we are escaping from our hectic everyday space into our holiday space. We relax and enjoy life in our campers. It's from years of enjoying our van times and places. Some call it pavlovian conditioning.

I find this post perfectly sensible. I often make a cup of coffee in my camper as it hibernates in its garage.

We always sleep well in the van. Maybe it's because the beer fridge is so close to hand!

Hi everyone,

I normally don't have any problems with sleeping in my Authomes Komet(that was after I had fixed the rock and roll bed).

I used to get awful backache before it was fixed, but that was down to the middle part of the bed dipping by about a good 4 inches !!

I think i know the reason why i always sleep so well in my camper.
Its because i am most often pissed when i am camping in it

I was parked up next to the lighthouse at Penmon in Anglesey last week, all ready for a good sleep after a few beers, only to be kept awake all night by the bell on the lighthouse bonging every couple of minutes!

I like to go out with my laptop at least once a week and work out on the Yorkshire moors, lovely, peace and quiet with a pot of tea on the go and a packet of cream fingers!
