Will it fit??

Post by Bendyknees »

Have just been given a t25! Its well ropey an has been used as a kennel for the last year or so, but i dont mind cos i just want it for bits. Well i want its gearbox. Thing is that my van is a 1.6 N/a smoker an im pretty sure this is a 1.9 watercooled 1(engine looks like its on its side wen you look through the flap). Will the box fit or can it be adapted to fit? i know it wll overgear my old van but im planning to rebuild my box an put it back in later in the year.
Im also gonna rob everythin else that i can off it
Any1 want a stripped van in a week or 2 :D
Carlsberg dont do campers.......... but if they did they'd build the T25

Yes the box wil fit but you will need to put the 1.6 diesel gearbox bell housing and input shaft on the petrol box.I have run a 1.9 petrol gearbox on a 1.6n and have a 2ltr cu gearbox on my 1.6td.Some people say its over geared but i dont have problems or had with pulling or hills.Recently i towed a large trailer to pick up a devon roof and found no overgearing issues.
