Westy Cooker Surround

Post by Mark S »

Does anybody know how to get the cooker front off the Westy (the metal plate with the gas knobs and voltage LEDs etc sticking out)? I have removed the knobs, the electronic fascia and the screws from the underside, but the thing shows no inclination to move. I need to get it off to paint it up but ideally without dismantling the whole ish.

Thanks.

Hi. I think you will find 2 screws, one on each side of the cabinet as well. To save painting you can get the fronts from this guy Peter Gunzl, http://server2.gs-shop.de/200/cgi-bin/s ... terID=4357

Thanks, Freddie, I'll look for those screws. I'm painting it in-situ at the moment with some smooth grey Hammerite - one more coat to go.

If it looks naff I might end up troubling Herr Gunzl.
