CU Carb basic settings.

Post by silverfoxfintry »

Good afternoon all.
I have had the bus in at a local garage a couple of weeks ago.
They were trying to set up the carbs and the timing.
Since then I have been all the way up to Brora and back to Stirling.
But! the engine is running like a bag of bolts.
I found that the Vacuum advance and retard pipes hade been linked and that they had tried to set the tick-over up on the carbs. Not on the slow running jet on the LH carb.
The hole thing is a mess.
Can anyone tell me the basic setting for the mixture screws at the butterfly ?
Or is there anyone in central Scotland who nows how to set these up properly.
