Can anyone tell me what I could be doing wrong. [westy lpg]

Of academic interest now because you appear to have sorted it, but a lot of filling stations' LPG pumps seem to lalck the power to force gas into the Westy's tank, even if it is far from full already. I now go to a pukka gas retailer and just filled mine till the needle was up against the pin with no problem at all.

> hi , im pleased you got it filled !
So am i!

Correct

Erm - I don't recall the exact price as I was in such rapture to get it to go in but with a guess of about 40p a litre (this being with duty on it as it was a normal garage with LPG for bi-fuel uses) I suppose I must have just put in about 19 litres though I think the tank is meant to be smaller than that so I guess it may have been more like 60p? Sorry not to have taken more care to notice...
> mine wasn t completely empty and i put 12 litres in - my gauge said 10% before I put 12 litres in, but I am concerned my gauge is wacky.....
it cost me 5quid
That actually sounds about right. The english translation of the manual I have says the capacity is 12.4 litres/6.2kg. Our Westy is a lot older than the one the manual is for though...

thanks for getting back to me
the thing is i stopped it filling at 12litres , it was 10%,on the gauge before i filled but only read 50 % after - but later when i looked after travelling about 100miles it showed over 90%, however lasst night it reads 70%
not enough difference in temp to change it that much so h guess the gauge is wacky - not that h care - i just wanted to know how much i should be getting in from almost empty . . . .
if there are two sizes mine , like the one pictured above in this thread is the smaller of the two
