It wasn't lighting on gas, so took it out and noticed no spark so replaced the 'sparking plug' but no still no spark. Checked the thumb switch and this was ok so was really perplexed. As I was just about to give up and still clicking the thing over I noticed a spark coming from the cable that joins the plug and switch together. Somehow it was shorting so applied some insulation tape and the fridge lit first time!

Thought I'd let people know about the fault on our 3 way electrolux fridge and what it was that fixed it.
