T25 Autosleeper water & heater question

Post by ben_moore34 »

Hello.
My dad is going to look at a 1989 VW Autosleeper tomorrow. According to the seller the van has never had underneath water tanks or blown heating. My dad was wondering whether Autosleeper did a basic model without these features, he was under the impression that all Autosleeper conversions did. Anyone have any ideas or links to resources that may be able to help?

Thanks in advance
Ben

All sleepers came with water tanks and heaters as standard.
the control panel will have a pump switch for it and a gas supply in the cupboard by the back seat with an isolating tap.

A footnote here Autosleeper are one of the finest English conversions you can buy.
They have a website...

but this forum is the best place for information

basic model....I don't think so!

My Autosleper doesn't have a water tank although it does have the gauge, switch & inline pump installed. It does have a Propex type gas heater. The red heater box actually has the words 'Hot Box' painted on it.

I can't fault the Revster's comment on Autosleeper conversions. :D

my new ( to me ) 86 one has both heating and water tank

but i looked at a '90 one at a dealers that didnt have heating ( 9k and still had rust! )

in the manual for the trident here it says they were an option ( waste water tank that is and blown air heating in the back )
