hmmm..c reg was 01 August 1985/31 July 1986.so i doubt very much it was an Aircooled.iirc the air cooled was made upto 84.does it look like a new front panel has been fitted at any point...

It doesn't look obvious that the panel has been replaced, but i surpose it could of been done well. Just can't see why someone would go to the trouble of fitting an Aircooled panel on a watercooler. The lower grill that was covering the panel went from indicater to indicater (South African??)

neither can i.tis all very strange....
Just can't see why someone would go to the trouble of fitting an Aircooled panel on a watercooler

seeings as the rad is colled in main by the lower grill, it would not be a clever idea to block it off.......... i suspect that the original poster has overheating isuues........

id be intersted to know as i was also thinking of blocking it off like kev.
it looks so much nicer without that horrible grill.
