seat beltmount repair

the area under the passeger wheel arch has a small hole and as this is where i put the child seat and mot looming.

IMHO i would do both. no point bolting onto rust/hole/"pooh" only pull out in an accident. replace/plate ALL rust and then use one of these as a spreader. in my converted van ive got a piece of angle iron bolted across with spreaders , my kids aint going nowhere!!

will they just drop down out of way if i un bolt it?

yes they will, clear out crud/rust behind aswell, if you try to remove the hoses that go to the top of the tanks you may snap them off. might be better to cut them off and plug the hose or just leave them dangling.

but if you leave them dangling on the hoses whilst welding, cover them with a soaking wet towel in case any molten bits drop on em
