syncro campers and water (puddles etc)
I've been considering the practicalities of a Syncro camper and I wondered if people did anything to stop water getting inside their vans. I believe it's necessary to have a hole for gas to sink out of in the floor of the van (my Devon certainly has one). I can see this easily becoming a point through which water enters the van when going through large puddles/rivers and the like. Any clever ways of avoiding this kind of thing, or does it not happen?

The main thing is that...
it doesn't flood in badly
it can drain out again
you don't mount sensitive electrical items low down e.g. like my mains inverter under the seat, Ok directly under it, not in the lower battery well behind it
Handbrake grommet might require a second outside the vehicle, or lots of grease

Andy it actualy came through a small hole on the small step into the rear that is now pluged.(old skrew hole)It wast more than a couple of tablepoons full though.
I do have gas leakoffs on bothe my gasbottles an storage compartments(2 in total) but if i am slow wading i bung one them or if fast i leave them and they dont
take water because of their desighn.

You could always use a bit of good reliable silicone and seal those leaky bits underneath seats where water may seep in and some people tend to store sensitive electricals - I don't know who would on here as we are all very sensible
