Front mudguards

Post by peasant »

Got rear ones (the ones with the extra holder), considering getting fronts too, to stop the seams and underside being bombarded with grit, mud and wet all the time ...so not for looks but for function.

Are the ones that JK sell any good?

That's the clip-on version right? So no drilling, but they may fall off (especially when in contact with the great offroads) ?

The JK ones are ok but you will need to drill a hole in the sub-frame for the inner fixing bolt. No holes in the wheel arches though.

the cheap ones from halford are fixed with clips. ive had some on my van for ages now and they stop the "pooh" from spraying up the side of my van.

Experience of the clips with the JK flaps is that they are a nightmare to fit due to all the underseal and crap weldedto the back of the arch. Cleaned right up they are still pants. Followed a friends recommendation and bolted them, 3 holes, done. Just remove periodically and clean up behind them!
