Lowered Bus, Wearing Tyres Quickly

My T25 Caravelle is wearing tyres super quickly on the insides. The bus is lowered 80mm at the front and 60mm at rear. I have been told the camber is wrong. (Looking at it from the front you can see a noticable camber) Is there any way of solving this problem. The tyres are 245/45/17.

get the camber set by a reputable firm and then get the tracking done

Speak to Mr Brickyard, he can do the castor, camber and tracking.. proper like!!!! or you'll wear tyres out big style and end up in a hedge!!!

Let's find out where Jim-thingy is - it's a long way to Huddersfield from say Cornwall and I would hope there's someone who could do that sort of job between those two hypothetical points.

Any local 4 wheel alignment shop will be able to set up your front and rear suspension tracking and camber.
You should always reset your camber and tracking after changing the height of your suspension.

just a quick fix to sort the front camber out on a temp basis, use a 1 metre spirt level against the front tyre verticaly and slacken the front upper wishbone inner bolts turn the bolts till the bubble centres then lock the nuts up the you will have camber set at 0 degrees but i would advise you get the track and camber set up correctly on proper 4wheel alignment you will notice the difference straight away with the handling and fuel economy and with the tyre wear in the long run

you won't get it right at 80mm as thats too low, you run out of adjustment around 60mm.
you will always be scrubbing tyres off at that amount of drop.
Anything more than 60mm is a no go in my eyes or put up with your van driving like a bag of "pooh" and scrubbing tyres off.
oh, and 80mm at the back, you may aswell just take the springs out at it will be on the bumpstops and they ain't too easy to change...

I would rather drive from Cornwall to let him do it than go to Quicksh1t etc, for them to scratch there heads and not!!! Very few places can do a real "full" alignment check..

Don't forget the 'etc'. People always forget the 'etc' and that's the key bit.

There are other VW specialists who can help in addition to Simon and they might be a lot closer to Jim-thingy, but as he hasn't come back to say where he lives it's all a bit academic, really...

Sorry 4 delay but been away. scratching my head.
The funny thing is that i do live in cornwall (truro to be exact) My tyres won't get me to huddersfield. So will try to locate a place closer. Gona get some 60mms an go from there. Low is good but unpracticle.

Dan T1111 (Cornwall) might know of somewhere down in your neck of the woods, or maybe CJ Syncrospares (Devon) might know of somewhere that could help in the deep South West.

I know of a couple of VW specialists in Bristol who could probably do the job, but that's still a long way etc.

Think this might be them.......UK Car Alignments Tel 07838 124958. I dont know what theyre like but have heard from various garages that theyre good. May pay to give them a ring and see what they say.
