WE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Commons of the United Kingdom in Parliament assembled, towards raising the necessary supplies to defray Your Majesty's public expenses, and making an addition to the public revenue, have freely and voluntarily resolved to give and to grant unto Your Majesty the several duties hereinafter mentioned; and do therefore most humbly beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

“£0.2835"| substitute “£0.3035"| i.e. 2p more per litre!

Rather like that, sort of harks back a few centuries to what these taxes were originally for... a bit of the good life, and waging war :)

GOOD NEWS 8)

got a letter from HRH Customs and whatever this morning, the new rates come into effect from 30th June.

if you use/produce no more than 2500 litre per annum then you don't have to be registered any more and therefore not have to return monthly figures and best of all - not a pay a penny of duty 8) 8)

Well, that's the same as before the change. you're legally obliged to tell them - you'd be breaking the law if you produced more than 2,500litres per year and didn't register.
