Changing a tailgate lock

Post by Chunkmama »

Hello, I did a search to see if this had been asked before but nothing came up that was the same so I'm going to ask.

How easy is it to change the lock - I know where I can get the lock from so thats no issue but I wondered whether I could do it or if it would be best to take it to the garage, the lock has been sticking for ages and now is getting very hard to either unlock or lock, I slowly losing the knack.

Any help greatly appreciated as always

:D

Ok, so this is really off-topic but where can I find out about these'events trips & shows'?

I have tried the members only area (I am a member - no 2934) but am not admitted. Is this where I would find these details?

How do I get access?

thanks
Gary

open tailgate and have a look at the metal lock plate mechanism , remove the three bolts ( allen socket needed) . remove the inner trim panel and lock will just wiggle out.
