Is movement in wheel bearings a MOT failure ??
I have tried tightening them up but need new nuts, there must be an 1/8" inch play...will this fail its MOT??

thanks, i would say an 1/8" overall, MOT is on saturday.

its down to the testet to decide what is 'excess play'
remember before excess play comes---
no play
slight play
play
lots of play THEN
excess play!
excess is when it would be deamed dangerous to drive or there is an obvious fault(collapsed bearing) which would usually fail for roughness as well.
from memory though a bearing cannot fail for being noisy!
